Prospect Philipp Grubauer named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team
The South Carolina Stingrays, Washington’s ECHL affiliate, announced today that goaltender Philipp Grubauer has been named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team.
In 43 games played this season with the Stingrays, Grubauer, 20, went 23-13-5, posting a 2.22 goals-against average (third in the ECHL) and a .918 save percentage (sixth in the ECHL).
To finish out the rest of the ECHL All-Rookie Team, Grubauer is joined by defensemen Andrew Hotham and Mike Little and forwards Chris Barton, Dustin Gazley, and Mathew Sisca.
